Several killed, injured in naval accident for Konarak vessel off port of Jaask

According to the statement, the accident happened to Konarak vessel off the port city of Jaask, some 1,270 kilometers (790 miles) southeast of Tehran on the Gulf of Oman.
The accident occurred when a number of vessels belonging to the Iranian Navy were conducting exercises.
The cause of the accident was being investigated and more information would be announced later.
The Konarak, a Hendijan-class vessel had been overhauled in 2018 and was able to launch sea missiles. The Dutch-made, 47-meter (155-foot) vessel was in service since 1988 and had capacity of 40 tons. It usually carries a crew of 20 sailors.
